About Fernando "Boi" Marques

Fernando "Boi" Marques is a highly respected Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) black belt under Master André Pederneiras (Nova União), and is recognized as one of the best heavyweight grapplers of his generation. He is the professor of notable athletes, including our very own Victor "Bolinha" Diniz de Araújo. A former 2001 IBJJF World Champion (Super Heavyweight), Fernando has also competed successfully in both freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling, proudly representing Brazil at the Pan American Games.
